2-Year Old Preschool Class
Our 2 year old program meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 am to 11:15 am
Our two-day program for 2-year-olds is thoughtfully designed to introduce young children to a gentle, engaging first school experience. Meeting twice a week, we provide a nurturing environment where toddlers can begin to build independence, explore new routines, and feel comfortable in a classroom setting.
We focus on supporting the whole child by encouraging growth across key developmental areas, including social development, cognitive skills, fine and gross motor coordination, early math concepts, and language development—all through play-based, hands-on experiences.
A central part of our program is fostering strong social-emotional skills. Children are encouraged to build confidence, develop friendships, and learn how to express themselves in a supportive and caring environment. We place special emphasis on parallel play, recognizing it as an important stage in early childhood development. Through side-by-side play experiences, children begin to observe, imitate, and gradually interact with their peers, laying the foundation for cooperative play and meaningful social connections.
Our curriculum also promotes the development of essential social skills such as sharing, taking turns, listening, and problem-solving. Teachers gently guide children through everyday interactions, helping them navigate emotions and build positive relationships.
Cognitive growth is supported through activities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and early problem-solving. Children are introduced to simple math concepts like counting, sorting, and pattern recognition, as well as early language skills through songs, stories, and meaningful conversation.
Fine motor skills are strengthened through activities like drawing, stacking, and simple crafts, while gross motor development is encouraged through active play, music and movement, and outdoor exploration.
Above all, our program provides a warm, welcoming space where 2-year-olds feel safe, supported, and excited to learn and grow.
Class size is 10 students per classroom.
3 Year Old Preschool Class
Our 3 year old program meets on Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings from 9:00am-11:15am
Our three-day-a-week program for 3-year-olds is designed to support children at an exciting stage of growth as they become more independent, curious, and socially aware. Meeting in a warm and engaging classroom environment, we focus on nurturing each child’s development while thoughtfully preparing them for a Pre-K program as four-year-olds.
A strong emphasis is placed on social development, as children begin to form deeper peer connections and learn how to participate in a group setting. We continue to support parallel play while also encouraging the transition toward cooperative play. Through guided activities and everyday interactions, children practice important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, listening, and expressing their thoughts and feelings in positive ways.
Our curriculum supports growth across key developmental areas, including cognitive skills, fine and gross motor development, early math and science concepts, and language development. Children are engaged in hands-on, play-based learning experiences that spark curiosity and encourage problem-solving and exploration.
Cognitive development is strengthened through activities that promote thinking, questioning, and discovery. Early math and science concepts are introduced through counting, sorting, patterns, simple experiments, and observation of the world around them.
Language skills are fostered through storytelling, group discussions, songs, and imaginative play, helping children expand their vocabulary and build confidence in communication.
Fine motor skills are developed through activities such as drawing, cutting, building, and manipulatives, while gross motor skills are supported through movement, outdoor play, and structured physical activities.
Above all, our 3-year-old program provides a supportive and enriching environment where children build confidence, develop friendships, and gain the foundational skills needed for a successful transition into Pre-K.
Class size is 15 students per classroom.
4 Year Old Preschool Class PM
Our 4 year old program meets Monday to Thursday afternoons from 12:30pm-2:45pm
Our afternoon program welcomes children ages 3½ to 5 years old, with enrollment available for children who turn three on or before March 1, 2026. Designed for families seeking a thoughtfully structured afternoon experience, this program offers a rich and engaging environment that supports each child’s individual developmental journey.
While the curriculum is carefully designed with four-year-olds in mind, it is intentionally differentiated to meet the needs of both younger and older learners. We recognize that children develop at varying paces, and our approach ensures that every child is both supported and meaningfully challenged.
At the heart of our program is a strong emphasis on social-emotional development. Children are guided in building confidence, forming authentic peer relationships, and developing a sense of belonging within the classroom community. We thoughtfully support parallel play as an important developmental stage, while also fostering the natural progression toward cooperative play and collaboration. Through gentle guidance and intentional teaching, children develop essential social skills such as sharing, turn-taking, active listening, and respectful communication.
Our curriculum strikes a balance between purposeful, teacher-guided instruction and play-based exploration. Each day is designed to cultivate curiosity, independence, and a love of learning while building a strong foundation for kindergarten readiness.
Children engage in a wide range of enriching experiences that support:
-
Social development and meaningful peer interaction
-
Kindergarten readiness through structured, developmentally appropriate learning
-
Cognitive growth, critical thinking, and problem-solving
-
Fine and gross motor development through hands-on materials and movement
-
Early math and science concepts through exploration, patterning, and discovery
-
Language and communication skills through storytelling, discussion, and imaginative play
For older three-year-olds, this program serves as a seamless bridge into Pre-K expectations. For four- and five-year-olds, it offers a comprehensive experience comparable to a full-day UPK program, thoughtfully preparing children for a confident and successful transition into kindergarten.
