About Us
At SGF Day Nursery School, we offer a thoughtfully curated early childhood experience rooted in warmth, intention, and excellence. Our classrooms provide a safe, nurturing environment where young children feel secure, valued, and inspired to explore. Each class is led by a dedicated teacher and teaching assistant, allowing for individualized attention and a truly supportive learning experience.
Located on Maplewood Parkway in South Glens Falls, our school serves children ages 2½ through 5 years old. Our programs are designed to gently guide each child’s social, emotional, and academic growth, fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our Story
For more than 74 years, SGF Day Nursery School has proudly served families in the surrounding communities, providing a strong foundation in early childhood education. What began as a single classroom has grown and evolved over the decades into a well-established early childhood program offering multiple class options for families in our community. Today, we continue to build on that legacy through our own thriving program with two classrooms and three distinct program offerings.
While we have grown over time, our core values have remained unchanged. We are deeply rooted in tradition, community, and a commitment to nurturing the whole child. Our approach blends time-honored early childhood practices with thoughtful, play-based learning designed to support each child’s social, emotional, and academic development.

Welcome Our New Lead Teacher!
We are excited to introduce the newest member of our SGF Day Nursery School family, Mrs. Lisa Kearney, who will be our Lead Teacher for our 3- and 4-year-old classroom!
Mrs. Kearney brings more than 30 years of experience teaching and nurturing young children. Her passion for early childhood education, dedication to helping children grow, and wealth of knowledge make her a wonderful addition to our program.
We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Kearney to our team and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our students and families.
